Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV)

Definition

This term refers to a vehicle that incorporates a unibody construction similar to most cars, as opposed to the body-on-frame construction of a typical SUV. CUVs have the seating and cargo versatility of an SUV (Sport-Utility Vehicle) but tend to have more car-like handling and ride performance, and improved fuel economy over body-on-frame SUVs.
