North American Charging Standard (NACS)

Definition

NACS reflects an effort to standardize the charging plug for electric vehicles across North America. Also identified as SAE J3400, this configuration enables vehicles to be charged with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) systems. Honda plans to adopt this standard for all battery electric vehicles in the near future. Meanwhile, a Honda Genuine Accessory adaptor will be made available shortly to enable access to NACS chargers for Prologue drivers.
