Apple CarPlay® Compatibility (All)

What’s the Benefit?

This feature allows users to engage select mobile phone-based apps on a large, easy-to-use touch-screen interface.


The Feature:

  • After connecting a compatible iPhone46, the phone’s features populate on the touch-screen—so there’s no need to ever touch the phone while driving.
  • Users can also control phone features hands-free—including music and messaging—using Siri®28.
  • It makes using the phone easier while also reducing the potential for driver distraction.
  • Apple CarPlay®16 is also compatible with a number of third-party smartphone apps; when downloaded to the user’s iPhone, their icons will appear on the touch-screen and can be controlled by voice commands.
