The Pilot features Honda’s signature achievement in frontal crash-energy management—the ACE body structure.

• In a frontal collision, ACE enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility by using a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle.
• This enhanced frontal crash-energy management helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passenger compartment and can help more evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles in a crash.
• The design enhances the vehicle's performance in the stringent small overlap frontal test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
