Driver Information Interface (DII)

What’s the Benefit?

This feature makes interacting with various systems easier, and helps to minimize the potential for driver distraction by putting the interface closer to the driver’s line of sight.

The Feature:

The DII is controlled with the steering wheel-mounted switches on the left-hand side. It enables interaction with several features:

• Audio sources can be searched and selected.
• A “now playing” feature shows the audio-source information.
• Phone calls can be answered and made.
• A compass can be displayed.
• The brightness of the display can be controlled.
• The content displayed and the order in which it appears can be personalized within the DII.
• Warning messages are shown as well.
• A trip computer can provide such information as distance traveled, average fuel consumption and remaining range.
