Three Power Modes

What’s the Benefit?

The CR-V Hybrid uses three modes to enable the vehicle to operate in the most fuel-efficient mode for the conditions.

The Feature:

Three power modes allow the CR-V Hybrid to operate with the utmost efficiency.

• Power-flow indicators in the Driver Information Interface (DII) keep the driver apprised of which mode is in use.
• In EV Drive, the CR-V Hybrid is propelled solely by its electric motor and the lithium-ion battery pack; this mode can be selected—and used for short distances—by pressing the EV button.
• In Hybrid Drive, the engine powers the generator which in turn supplies the drive motor with electricity.
• In Engine Drive, a clutch engages to mechanically link the engine to the front drive wheels at highway speeds.
