How to Use the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)

Standard on Fit EX and above trims and available on Fit LX and Sport trims, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ is a Honda safety feature designed to help reduce the likelihood of a potential collision by alerting the driver. It can also take steps to help reduce the severity of an impact by automatically applying brake pressure if the system determines a collision to be unavoidable. See the video for details.

CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat.
