Surround Vision System (Elite) (Honda Sensing® feature)

What’s the Benefit?

The surround vision system helps expand the Prologue Elite driver’s awareness of what’s in front of, alongside and behind the vehicle under various conditions.

The Feature:

The surround vision system87 uses cameras located in the grille, on the bottom of each side mirror and in the tailgate to convey images of the surrounding area to the driver via the color touch-screen.

  • The system can be activated when the vehicle is moving forward at or below 8 mph by touching the CAMERA icon in the color touch-screen; icons on the touch-screen enable the driver to choose the desired view, and the cameras will deactivate if the vehicle speed exceeds 8 mph.
  • The rearview camera activates when the transmission is shifted into reverse, and touching the icons along the bottom of the screen allow the driver to choose the view.
  • The driver can select from among the following:
    • Front/rear standard view displays an image of the area in front of or behind the vehicle; repeatedly touching the icon toggles between the views.
    • Front/rear overhead view displays a top-down image of what’s directly in front or back.
    • Side forward/rearward view enables a look at what’s alongside the vehicle toward the front or rear.
    • Top down view displays an image of the area surrounding the vehicle along with a rear-camera image when in Reverse, or a front-camera image when in Drive and going less than 8 mph.
