Trail Torque Logic (TrailSport)

What’s the Benefit?
 The ruggedness of the Pilot TrailSport is further amplified with Trail Torque Logic, enhancing the vehicle’s ability to keep moving over extremely uneven surfaces.

The Feature:
The Pilot TrailSport features Trail Torque Logic.

  • This feature of the i-VTM4® system is actuated when Trail mode is selected.
  • When the system detects that a rear wheel has left the surface, it directs additional torque to the rear differential—and the majority of that torque is sent to the wheel still on the ground.
  • In addition, if the system detects that a front wheel has left the surface, the AWD system uses brake vectoring to channel more torque to the front wheel with grip.
