What’s the Benefit?

The Feature:

The CR-V LX, EX and EX-L trims are equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder.

• In addition to the intercooled turbo, this powerplant features direct injection, Variable Timing Control (VTC) on both camshafts and the addition of VTEC^® for the exhaust valves.
• The turbocharger has been designed to provide responsiveness and efficiency for exceptional performance.
• This engine is tuned to provide 190 peak horsepower at 6000 rpm (SAE net).
• Torque production is admirable as well, peaking at 179 lb-ft (SAE net).
• Plus, that torque peak starts very soon—at just 1700 rpm—and stays until 5000 rpm, for a sustained blast of acceleration.
• This engine helps enable a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs³⁷.
• Perhaps most remarkable of all, this engine can provide all that exhilaration while receiving excellent EPA fuel-economy ratings.
