Side Blind Zone and Lane Change Alert Systems (Honda Sensing® feature)

What’s the Benefit?

These systems help give the driver additional information about conditions on both sides of the vehicle to enhance driving confidence.

The Feature:

Prologue includes innovative and useful side blind zone and lane change alert systems⁸².

• A pair of sensors, one on each rear corner of the vehicle, can detect a vehicle that may be positioned in an adjacent lane.
• The side blind zone alert system will illuminate an indicator located in the outside mirror on the side where the vehicle is detected to alert the driver.
• Engineered for relatively close range, the system covers an area on each side of the vehicle from the rear edge of the front doors extending about 16 feet rearward and 11 feet out from the side of the vehicle.
• If a vehicle is detected next to the Prologue in an adjacent lane when the turn signal is on in that direction, the lane change alert system will make the side-mirror indicator flash to catch the driver’s attention.
