Reverse Automatic Braking (Honda Sensing® feature)

What’s the Benefit?

The reverse automatic braking system⁸⁴ is designed to help keep the vehicle from colliding with an object when backing up.

The Feature:

All Prologue trims come standard with the reverse automatic braking system.

The system can issue an audible alert when it detects a possible collision when backing up at speeds greater than 5 mph.
It will strongly apply the brakes if it detects the vehicle is backing up too fast to avoid an object detected behind the vehicle.
Pressing the brake pedal after the vehicle comes to a complete stop will release the reverse automatic braking.

Important Note: The reverse automatic braking system on the Prologue may not be able to apply enough braking force to prevent all collisions. It also cannot detect all objects behind the vehicle; the driver must intervene in certain situations, and must always be attentive when using the system.
