Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) (Honda Sensing® feature)

What’s the Benefit?
RDM gives HR-V’s occupants added peace of mind when out on the road.

The Feature:
The Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)⁴ employs the windshield-mounted camera also used by the Lane Departure Warning (LDW)¹⁰ system to identify the side of the road, including painted lane lines, Botts’ Dots and cat’s-eye markers.

• When the system detects that the vehicle is about to leave the road, it alerts the driver with a warning message.
• The system is designed to then use the electric power steering (EPS) to guide the vehicle back into its detected lane.
