This design makes refueling easier and more convenient.
The Feature:
Civic is equipped with a capless fuel filler.
This capless system enables drivers to release the door and immediately insert the fuel nozzle—no need to remove a cap or worry about dropping it against the side of the vehicle.
After refueling and withdrawing the nozzle, just snap the filler door closed and you’re on your way.
Important Note: When refueling with anything other than a standard filling-station nozzle, a special funnel must be used to avoid damaging the fuel system. The funnel, supplied with each vehicle, is located in the tool tray beneath the trunk floor.
