Turbocharged 1.5-liter Engine (LX, EX, EX-L)

What’s the Benefit?

Ample low-rpm torque makes for grin-inducing acceleration, while its exceptional efficiency helps minimize fuel expenses.

The Feature:

The 2023 CR-V LX, EX and EX-L trims are equipped with a significantly updated turbocharged 4-cylinder.

In addition to the intercooled turbo, this powerplant features direct injection, Variable Timing Control (VTC) on both camshafts and the addition of VTEC^® for the exhaust valves.
The turbocharger has been refined to increase responsiveness and efficiency even further for exceptional performance.
This engine is tuned to provide 190 peak horsepower at 6000 rpm (SAE net).
Torque production is admirable as well, peaking at 179 lb-ft (SAE net).
Plus, that torque peak starts even sooner than before—at just 1700 rpm—and stays until 5000 rpm, for a sustained blast of acceleration.
This engine helps enable a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs³⁷.
Perhaps most remarkable of all, this engine can provide all that exhilaration while receiving excellent EPA fuel-economy ratings.
