Idle-Stop System

What’s the Benefit?
This system is designed to enhance efficient operation and save fuel.

The Feature:
To further enhance fuel efficiency, all Pilot trims feature an idle-stop system. 

• When the vehicle brakes to a stop for at least two seconds—such as at a traffic light—the engine automatically shuts off to save fuel.
• When the driver releases the brake pedal, the engine restarts by itself.

Delivery Note: In certain traffic conditions, the idle-stop function may not be desirable. So, the driver may easily switch off the system with the “A-OFF” button located at the rear of the transmission’s push-button control unit.
