This system helps drivers maneuver in close spaces without touching other vehicles or objects, preserving that new-bumper look.
The Feature:
Sensors are embedded in the front and rear bumpers.
At speeds below 5 mph, the sensors can detect objects that are close to the Passport.
The system can issue visual and audible alerts to help the driver carefully guide the vehicle in tight spaces; the audible beeps increase in frequency as the object becomes closer to the bumper.
The system can be turned on and off with a button on the instrument panel.
In addition, the rear sensors can be independently disabled when desired, such as while towing a trailer; the procedure is outlined in the owner’s manual.
