What’s the Benefit?

The CR-V Touring’s hands-free access feature provides a higher level of convenience when loading cargo.

The Feature:

Owners who want to open the Touring’s power tailgate while their hands are full don’t even have to press a button.

• The hands-free access sensor is positioned in the middle of the vehicle—although an accessory is available to move the sensor a few inches to the right if a trailer hitch is installed.

Important Note: The correct foot motion is to kick directly up toward the sensor and then quickly back down again; a side-to-side waggle, for instance, won’t trigger the sensor to open the tailgate.
