Engine/Chassis Features

Turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC® Engine (2.0T models)

What’s the Benefit?

Drivers who demand higher acceleration performance will enjoy the Accord’s larger turbocharged powerplant.

The Feature:

This engine packs a variety of ingenious features to create a steady flow of power while tightly managing emissions.

  • Along with the intercooled turbocharger, this powerplant features direct injection, Variable Timing Control™ (VTC™) on both camshafts and VTEC® on the exhaust cam.
  • The small-diameter turbine wheel helps minimize turbo lag and improve responsiveness.
  • Horsepower peaks at an exhilarating 252 at 6500 rpm (SAE net) when using regular unleaded fuel.
  • The torque peak of 273 lb-ft is achieved at a low 1500 rpm, and maintains until 4000 rpm (SAE net) for a sustained rush of acceleration.
  • Variable Timing Control™ (VTC™) and exhaust-cam VTEC® help to optimize exhaust-gas recirculation for exceptionally low emissions.
