New to the CR-V for 2020, this system is designed to enhance efficient operation and save fuel.
To further enhance fuel efficiency, all CR-V trims feature an idle-stop system.
When the vehicle brakes to a stop for at least two seconds—such as at a traffic light—the engine automatically shuts off to save fuel.
When the driver releases the brake pedal, the engine starts back up by itself.
The idle-stop function may not be desirable in certain traffic conditions, so the driver has the opportunity to easily switch off the system with a button located near the shift lever, identified by the letter “A” surrounded by a circular arrow.
