Three Power Modes

What’s the Benefit?

The CR-V Hybrid uses three modes to enable the vehicle to operate in the most fuel-efficient mode for the conditions.

The Feature:

Three power modes allow the CR-V Hybrid to operate with the utmost efficiency.

Power-flow indicators in the Driver Information Interface (DII) keep the driver apprised of which mode is in use.
In EV Drive, the CR-V Hybrid is propelled solely by its electric motor and the lithium-ion battery pack; this mode can be selected—and used for short distances—by pressing the EV button.
In Hybrid Drive, the engine powers the generator which in turn supplies the drive motor with electricity.
In Engine Drive, a clutch engages to mechanically link the engine to the front drive wheels at highway speeds.
