The 2019 Pilot undergoes several updates to make this highly popular 3-row SUV even more attractive:
Pilot projects a bold new look, with a sharpened grille and fascia, and upgraded headlights in front; handsome restyled wheels and side sills update the profile; and a new treatment for the rear lights and skid area adorn the back
Every Pilot trim now comes standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive features
Pilot Touring and Elite buyers will now enjoy the great convenience of the hands-free access power tailgate that already enhances the experience of many CR-V and Odyssey customers; on Pilot, the kick zone has been expanded for easier operation
New to the Pilot lineup are power-folding side mirrors on the Elite—and in a first for any Honda, those side mirrors also feature automatic dimming
There’s a new variation within the Touring trim; it has all the Touring’s features and adds the 2nd-row captain’s chairs and center console from the Elite—plus, it can go with either front- or all-wheel drive
The 9-speed automatic on Touring and Elite has been remapped for smoother running, including 2nd-gear takeoffs in most situations
The idle-stop feature on Touring and Elite has also been updated for more refined operation
New fabric adorns the LX and EX interiors
The fold-down center armrests on the front seats are wider, for greater comfort
The steering wheel from the 2018 Odyssey—along with its much greater number of controls—has been adapted to the new Pilot
The Odyssey’s instrument panel and Driver Information Interface—with some reconfigured graphics—have made the leap to the 2019 Pilot as well
2019 Pilots with Display Audio gain the Odyssey unit, with its volume/power knob and color-coded icon graphics
The exceptionally engaging Advanced Rear Entertainment System from the 2018 Odyssey—complete with Blu-ray™, HDMI and wireless audio streaming capabilities, plus the fun How Much Farther?® app—as well as the CabinTalk® feature are included on EX-L Navi/RES and above trims
Thanks to their new built-in telematics unit, Pilot Touring and Elite trims can provide HondaLink®22 Subscription Services along with a mobile hotspot30 capability (note that the HondaLink Remote Start feature is not available for Pilot at this time)
The Premium Audio system on Touring and Elite trims gains even more power for 2019, going from 540 to 590 watts
Pilot Elite owners will now enjoy the convenience of a wireless phone charger for their compatible smartphones
The Blind Spot Information system with cross traffic monitor48 replaces LaneWatch™ on Pilot EX, EX-L and Touring trims
