Capless Fuel Filler

What’s the Benefit?

This design makes refueling easier and more convenient.

The Feature:
Civic is equipped with a capless fuel filler.

• This capless system enables drivers to release the door and immediately insert the fuel nozzle—no need to remove a cap or worry about dropping it against the side of the vehicle.
• After refueling and withdrawing the nozzle, just snap the filler door closed and you’re on your way

Important Note: When refueling with anything other than a standard filling-station nozzle, a special funnel must be used to avoid damaging the fuel system. The funnel, supplied with each vehicle, is located in the spare-tire tool tray beneath the trunk floor on most models, and in the driver’s side cargo-area compartment on Type R
