Performance
Long an Odyssey strong point, on-the-road dynamics achieve even greater levels for 2018.
Thanks to its new 3.5-liter direct-injection V-6, Odyssey puts out 280 horsepower at 6000 rpm, and peak torque is now 260 lb-ft at 4700 rpm (both SAE net).
On most trims, the power flows through a 9-speed automatic transmission—and the Touring and Elite trims receive Honda’s first-ever 10-speed automatic, for exceptional responsiveness and efficiency.
Odyssey’s already impressive cornering ability is further enhanced with a new rear stabilizer bar.
Safety
Honda’s safety philosophy means every Odyssey is amply equipped with safety features.
Along with the normal complement of front, front side and side curtain airbags, every 2018 Odyssey features knee airbags for both the driver and front passenger—a Honda first.
